From Chiang Mai we fly to Phuket island resort, Thailand's largest island, which lies in the Andaman Sea off the country's south-western coast. Surrounding it are smaller islands which are as facinating with classic white sandy beaches, clear water and only accessable by boat. Phuket island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, but within itself has retained its culture fused from Chinese and Portuguese influences together with the culture of the sea-gypsy people. The island's terrain varies from rocky beaches, limestone cliffs and forested hills. It has great beaches, tropical vegetation and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.  From the airport we will go straight to Patong beach resort, the pioneer tourist venue. There are Karon and Kata and even more beautiful beaches which are scattered all around the island. They are all so fascinating which makes it even so harder to select. For the remaining of day light you are free to enjoy the beach and relax under the sun or wet yourself in the water. In the evening we will travel to Phuket main town center to enjoy the local food and do some shopping around. The next day will be a full day round trip to one of the island off Phuket. The boat ride will include a sea-food lunch on board. A specially built section of the boat bottom surface are made transparent for you to view the corals at the bottom of the sea. At sea you can go snorkelling, swimming or scuba dive and even fishing while enjoining the surrounding clear water enviroment.  It's late evening by the time you return from the boat trip and you may want to have a rest before dinner and enjoy the night life in Phuket. Every tourist spots in Thailand will not be complete without any night life entertainments. You can be sure to find something among the many activities and entertainment available to fill every moment of your sleepless hours. From top quality cabarets and shows to great live music and discos. Every tourist centre has numerous entertainment venues. Patong Beach is without doubt the main center of the island's entertainment scene, providing a wealth of beer bars, clubs, live music, a-go-go bars and cabaret shows. The last day of your stay in Phuket you will explore the island's interior which is hilly and you get to see the waterfall, national park and Phuket Butterfly Garden & Aquarium. The last visit is to the Marine Biological Research Centre which offers the opportunity to observe local marine life up close without the necessity of diving beneath the waves. More Attractions |
