Leaving behind the floating market, the air-con coach take the new elevated highway for the two hours journey to Pattaya which is located 147 kilometers (91 miles) southeast of Bangkok. As you journey towards Pattaya, you can see the almost flat land running for miles, salt manufacturers and sea products. 
Pattaya is famous for its beautiful beaches, first class and all kinds of hotels, guest houses, superb sea food, restaurants, sports and water sports, sourvenir shops, museum, open-air bars, beer bars,discotheques, cabaret shows, night spots entertainment, and many other interesting places nearby. Many people say that Pattaya has everything.Shopping - Pattaya has some surprisingly fashionable boutiques and shops selling clothes, silk, coral and shells, paintings, handicrafts, gemstones, jewellry and souvenirs. These shops are located mostly around the main street of South Pattaya and inside the upmarket hotels. Prices are fair and all visitors are eagerly welcome. Still shopping, well you have to leave it till tomorrow for we are going to visit the main attractions.  Visit the crocodile farm and see man fighting crocodile with their bare hands and also "The Million Years Stone Park".Get yourself wet at the water park and there is a tiger zoo to visit as well. A 500 acres garden beautifully landscaped,with orchid nursery and other botanical plants and trees.It is a Thai village style with recreation and vacation park. Within the garden there are cultural and traditional performances and an elephant show. Before winding up for the day's tour we will visit "The Mini Siam and Mini Europe". It displays Thai and European heritage (including Angkor Wat) on a miniature scale of 1:25. See details at attractions. With the sun setting, Pattaya becomes alive. At night Pattaya has its own charm and so many activities. Let's take our dinner at a restaurant by the sea for a superb fresh seafood. For those who'd like to see cabaret show advanced booking is recommended. After the show, there are many things to enjoy. Walking along the Walking Street at south Pattaya, sitting in the beer bar, watching people walking by, or go to the A-Go-Go bar. For shoppers, there are a lot of shops selling handicrafts, souvenirs, etc. You may want to sit in the cosy bar or lobby bar to enjoy favorite drink with live music before going to bed. Tomorrow is a free day, do what you want. You can complete your shopping or get some sun-tan at the beach. At the beach you can enjoy some sea sports, but be careful if you do not know how to swim. If you want to explore Pattaya's surrounding countryside and beaches you can hire motorcycles, jeeps or cars. The local tour agency can also arrange water sport tour and to local small industries producing local products. |
